1. What information we collect when you register and why?

When you buy goods from us, you are entering into a contract with us. You will need to set up a FIVE TECH Account before ordering from us; so we can set this up, we will ask you to provide some personal information such as;

  • Full name
  • Billing & Shipping Address (and previous addresses)
  • Payment information
  • Date of birth
  • Contact numbers, and
  • Email address.

As an existing customer, if you have shopped with us using a credit or debit card or have taken these details for payment authorisation, we will securely collect and store this payment card information in encrypted format in Payment Gateway systems such as Secure Trading, etc.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

Where we need to collect personal data by law or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

FIVE TECH works as an agent for UNUMPLUS LIMITED to deliver the OPPO Shop. We share web activity data with UNUMPLUS LIMITED to enhance the user journey on the OPPO Shop. In addition to web activities, we all also share personal data such as (but not limited to) name, email, address, phone, gender, and transactional information (excluding banking information) to UNUMPLUS LIMITED to support services (such as warranty, marketing, user experience enhancement, customer service)

In addition, FIVE TECH works with several trusted agencies and businesses to provide you with the high-quality goods and services you expect from us, such as delivery companies, credit reference agencies, fraud prevention agencies, and market research companies, amongst others.  Some examples of the categories of third parties with whom we share your data are:

Distribution Partners 

FIVE TECH works with a number of trusted partners who manage warehousing / despatch processes and services on our behalf. All partners are subject to thorough security checks and will only hold the minimum amount of personal information needed in order to fulfil the orders you place or provide a service on our behalf. 

Delivery Partners

In order for you to receive your goods, FIVE TECH works with a number of delivery partners. Again, we only pass limited information to them in order to ensure delivery of your items.

IT Companies

FIVE TECH works with businesses who support our website and other business systems.

Marketing Companies

We work with marketing companies who help us manage our electronic communications with you such as sending News letter emails or orders related emails on our behalf.

Payment processing

FIVE TECH works with trusted third party payment processing providers in order to securely take and manage payments.

We may require you to provide us with proof of address, etc. These checks require us to process personal data about you.
